Nico Rosberg, amongst others, is set to ask FIA race director Charlie Whiting for guidelines as to what is acceptable defending after numerous incidents at the Brazilian GP.
A feud erupted between Jarno Trulli and Adrian Sutil, resulting in the former physically confronting the German after he felt Sutil had acted too aggressively in Brazil.
That, though, wasn't the only incident as Mark Webber and Kimi Raikkonen also tangled as did Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima.
Rosberg has revealed that the drivers are now seeking clarification from Whiting and will do so at Friday's drivers' briefing ahead of the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
"Barrichello, Webber and Kobayashi did exactly the same thing," Rosberg told Autosport.
"With Webber, Raikkonen lost his front wing, with Kobayashi, Nakajima had a massive off, which could have been much worse - you can really hurt yourself, marshals and others in that sort of accident.
"With Barrichello, Lewis ran into the back of his tyre. That was the third time - and it is not allowed to happen.
"It is Michael Schumacher who started this, like at Spa [in 2000], when Mika Hakkinen tried to overtake him and he ran him off the track. When the guy behind has made a decision [to pass] and the guy in front then moves over, it is very dangerous. You cannot do that."
"That was the first time I remember it being a dangerous issue, so it needs to be looked at and clarified from my point of view. I will be mentioning it in the drivers' briefing."
"I am not saying anyone has done anything wrong [in Brazil], because there has not been a clarification about it, but the view of the drivers needs to be taken into account and we say it is very dangerous. Something needs to be changed."

"Somewhere in between all of the comments has to be the 'acceptable' norm....if I am fast enough to catch up your car, then I should have a chance to get by. You may hold me back for a bit, but eventually, you need to yield the position. I believe the 'rule' is ONE 'blocking ' move per track segment BETWEEN curves( turns). Now, if I'm already along side and you come over and hit my car, that's dangerous, and NOT a BLOCKING move....that's intentional demolition.....the two need to be seperated. I see no reason to disparage Nico for asking the question.....just because there are old farts like myself that have followed the sport since the 70's doesn't mean that Mr. Whiting and company shouldn't repeat 'rules of the road' periodically for the newer members of the fraternity."

"If anyone out there was still misguided enough to think Rosberg was championship material, this surely proves he is not."
