Fisi rejects claims of discontent

Monday 6th October 2008

Giancarlo Fisichella has dismissed reports that all is not well in the Force India camp.

Force India are the only team yet to score any points this campaign and the paddock is awash with rumours that disagreements between team principal Colin Kolles and technical boss Mike Gascoyne are causing tension in the team.

However, Fisichella has rejected the claims and says they are all working together to improve the team.

"To tell you the truth I have not noticed any friction," he told the official Formula One website.

"I guess every team wants to be competitive, and for this reason there are discussions among team members and maybe arguments. But we have never suffered because of that.

"If anything, our position down the field has been a bigger incentive to continue to push. I only know that my boss, Vijay Mallya, has promised me a good car in 2009 and I trust him one hundred percent!"

The Italian also insist they are making progress and says they've been promised a "very exciting" technical package for next year.

"We are always moving forward and we have kept up with the field with honour. But every other team has done the same and this is why our progress is so little noticed.

"The technical package [for 2009] we have been promised is very exciting and hopefully it will be revealed soon."

"If you can't even spell either of their names, one would have thought you weren't too keen on them either."

"Fisi is a dog, they should hire Klein or Reubens or both."
