Kazuki Nakajima is looking for a solid finish to his season as the Williams driver hopes to repay the team for signing him up for another year.
Nakajima has had a mixed first season in Formula One, which started well with him scoring points in four of the first nine grands prix.
However, a slump in form saw both the Japanese driver and his team-mate Nico Rosberg struggle to score points in the second half of the Championship, although the duo made amends in Singapore when they both finished in the top eight.
Nakajima is hoping that his Singapore performance is just the start of a strong conclusion to the campaign for himself and Williams.
"The season has been a little bit up and down," Nakajima told Autosport. "After the Spanish GP I was coming quite good and in some of the races I was quite close to Nico.
"Then, in the last two races at Spa and Monza, I struggled a lot, although Monza was tricky with the weather. So it was important to come back to a good position again (in Singapore).
"There are only three races to go and it is very important to finish the season in good shape. Plus, the Japanese GP is next, so everything is coming quite good."
