Sebastien Bourdais launched a scathing attack on Felipe Massa's driving after he was handed a retrospective penalty for a collision with the Ferrari driver in Japan.
The Toro Rosso driver made contact with Massa when he rejoined the track after his pit stop on lap 50. The Japan stewards found that Bourdais was to blame for the incident and handed him a 25-second penalty.
The decision means Bourdais drops from seventh to ninth in the classification while Massa moves up a place to seventh.
Frenchman Bourdais believes Championship contender Massa should've showed him a little more "respect".
"For me it's very clear. Yes, I exit the pits, yes I'm supposed to be careful and I was," he said. "I stayed inside and I didn't push him out, I didn't overshoot the corner.
"I did everything I could not to run into him and he just squeezed and turned and behaved like I didn't exist, like I wasn't there. What am I supposed to do?
"I've been in this position many, many times and I never had any incidents. It's just a little bit of respect, you give each other room and then everything goes right, but if you don't for sure it's going to be an incident."
Bourdais says he was surprised by Massa's antics as he took a few unnecessary risks.
"You've got everything to lose and nothing to gain. He was going to pit in three laps, I was ahead of him and he was going to finish behind us anyway. Why would you even think about doing something like that? I don't understand."

"m215900 - You seem to be a bit uneducated when it comes to racing. You are asking about Massa's move on webber but have we forgoten what Lewis did in monza a few times on the long straight when overtaking. Smell the coffee son."

"PUHLEEZE people......Bernie AND the FIA are orchestrating this circus......how the heck else will you have a 'sell-out' crowd at the LAST TWO events of the season if the championships are wrapped up prior? Cannot any of you remember the 'empty' bleachers when Schumi was kicking butt with 3 or 4 races to go? Which race track/organizer/promoter wants to shell out millions and then take in only thousands? This is NOT about 'fairness', it's about motorsport ENTERTAINMENT....not about Ferrari, or McLAREN, but rather Ferrari versus McLAREN.....understand? It's the stuff that gets you so hot under the collar that you actually get P.O'd enough to post assinine comments.....and you know what, the 'plan' IS working !.....get that thru your pointy little nation centric skulls and all will become clear. You're being 'played', by master manipulators.....and you don't even know it or care......shame."

"I'd like to know if the move that Massa made down the main straight with around 5 laps to go was legal, he overtook someone and drove over the red cross hatched section at the end of the pit wall into the exit of the pitlane, what would have happended if another car was exiting the pits at speed? If that had by Lewis he'd be looking at another penalty. F1 is corrupt and possibly racist, the sad thing is that no one seems to be able to do anything about it. I noticed that Max Mossley said in a newspaper on the day before Belgium, 'yes one of the stewards does have a business interest with Ferrari but that has nothing to do with the outcome of their decisions'. Who do you think you are kidding!!!"
