Sutil won't get too carried away

Monday 2nd June 2008

While he was immensely proud of his performance at the Monaco Grand Prix, Adrian Sutil has warned Force India to keep their feet on the ground.

The German has been widely hailed as the big winner of the race in Monte Carlo after coming within striking distance of scoring Force India's first points of the season.

Sutil, who started the race in 18th place, was within seven minutes of finishing fourth when World Champion Kimi Raikkonen crashed into the back of him. He was forced to retire while Raikkonen went on to finish ninth after a pit stop.

The 25-year-old admits he is proud of his performance in Monaco, but has warned the team not to get too carried away.

"The great response and all the congratulations from almost all the F1 team principals and TV experts made me very proud as it indicates that my drive will help me to go further in F1," he told the official Formula One website.

"But we do have to keep our feet on the ground - and we should not dream.

"Chances like this do not come so often. And if I'm honest, it will be very difficult for us in the next races.

"We are the only team that does not have a new car. We still drive with the '07 car. So we will push and do whatever is possible. But it will be difficult this year to have consistently good results."
