biso9700 I know they have young driver programmes which involve F3, Gp2 and the like, but as you say in season testing is now banned so they don't get a chance in an F1 car. This just makes it all the more important to have these guys there on race weekends to fully understand how an F1 team operates. Seeing things like team briefings, race tactics, fuel loads, telemetry and driver preparations are the best way to prepare these guys for the real deal.

Testing, testing? all this talk of testing! well FOTA introduce a third car which runs from Friday morning until Sunday. At least the spectators will get to see something other than an empty track

AusF1 all the top teams run young driver programmes!, but until they re-instate in-season testing, these guys wont get a chance, which is a waste!

Shame for Brendon Hartley. I had high hopes for him.

Wow a Basque. I'm surprised that Team Epsilon Euskadi did not sign him up, as proud as the Basque are of their own

This sort of forward thinking can only benefit these young drivers. If they were lucky enough to get a drive in such a competitive car they will be the envy of every other young driver trying to get their crack at the big time. Good on Red Bull for showing some of the other older more "established" teams how to produce the new champions of tomorrow not just buying them when they are a couple of years further down the track.
