Is Piquet still with Renault ? I have seen him in the races , so I wasn't sure.

There is absolutly no chance of Alonso wining in the Renault unless they all waved him pass.FI is still relitively new to Piquet especially with a dog.

Alonso could win in the renault - piquet doesn't know how to win in an F1 car.

charlie sierra, i dont think that piquet is necessarily giving out that sort of attitude during weekends, i think its that no matter how much effort he puts into qualifying and racing well, he will most defiantly be beaten by his far superior teammate, and the reason he never speaks positively of his chances is that he knows there arent any.

I like Piquet Jr., I really do. But why are these comments coming from him? Why is he commenting on development as if he would be able to produce those results himself? It was Fernando who scrapped his way to victory in those two races. Even this year we have seen Fernando continually manhandle the car to keep it near the points paying positions, while Piquet was even further back. Fernando has the passion and focus to stick around in F1 through the lean years, which are inevitably going to happen. Too often it seems like Piquet's attitude during the race weekends is "meh, the car's not good so I'm not good". C'mon Piquet, Renault F1 may be terrible at developing a F1 car through the season, but get in there and scrap for positions. You have your future to fight for too. If you leave Renault, you want to be with a better team right?

Batfuds, don't you remember Flavio complaing that Renault abided by the "engine freeze" last year, while other teams exploited a loop-hole to alledgedly improve their motor's reliabilty, but actually increased its power. Flavio complained so much, Renault was able to "legally" upgrade their engine over the winter, but probably started late in the season. However, aerodynamics was where Renault made most of their gains last season. They had one advantage last year, they knew where the problems were. This year, they seem to groping in the dark. So, Piquet jr is giving us a sober assessment, even if it shows us his defeatist attitude

"Now you can really see where the teams with the big budgets really make a difference, because you can have a lot of people working many hours a day and the small teams can't do this." So according to Nelsihno, Renault is a small, low-budget team... Yeah, right...

I'd hardly call Nelson's drive a "turnaround". He got a lucky podium due to a well-timed pit stop which coincided with a safety car.

If Spanish journalists/Alonso fans were to be believed, this car should be 2 or 3 seconds faster than the rest of the pack.... Were Renault allowed to run underweight at the end of last year ? The sudden turn of speed raised eyebrows and there were a few hints dropped by the proper F1 journalists that the turnaround was 'strange' and 'unprecedented'. How come they 'know' it won't happen again ?

Some in season testing must be allowed again! Mark my words: F1 can survive any political crisis just because its a fantastic sport! IT WILL NOT SURVIVE THE LACK OF DEVELOPMENT, EVOLUTION AND IN SEASON TURNAROUNT OF PERFORMANCE. F1 IS ABOUT THESE THINGS. STALEMATE CARS WILL BE BORING LIKE THE CARS IN OTHER CATEGORIES WITH PREDICTABLE PERFORMANCE! THIS COULD BE THE END OF F1! NOT MAX, BERNIE OR FOTA. SORT IT OUT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. I know its expensive but it is part of F1's DNA.
